Talofa everybody I am posting this blog post about Earthquake because so everyone around the world knows how to do it and they can practise and teach there siblings. Maths Problem

Wow I thought I was smart and then I realize \that I had nothing in my brain now let me tell you what happen.

We had this Visitor her name was Bina. First we did problems. This problem involve toothpicks and 9 squares. Now let me tell you now.First I started in 9 squares with some toothpicks. I started with 9 = 9 squares  and 4 = 4 toothpicks in each square so I did 9 x 4 = 36 and then I realize I did a BOO BOO)

Oops light bulb. I realize that I did things wrong "I realize" then I thought again about the question I looked back to the paper and I had it 9 squares and 3 toothpicks in each square + 1 so let me tell you.

9 x 3 = 27+ 1 = 28.

 So this is what I mean 9 squares 3 toothpicks in each square and + 1 which the other group did they lay it out and started to count how many toothpicks they weren't allowed to count like this 12345 they had to see what is a quick way to count how many toothpicks.

On this board it has squares and how we worked it out and our answer.we had to show our working out on our Maths book we had to show what we learnt and what we had wrong.

My Speech-Don't Cyber bully.What did I do

My speech journey

First when we were starting had to figure what speech we were going to do. So first I had did a speech about Don’t be a cyber bully I wanted to do that speech because heaps of people cyber bully and so I wanted to convince them to stop cyber bully.

So then I did a brainstorm on my book about my topic to get more ideas and then I went on to y hamburger to plan or my ideas my 1 paragraph and 2 3 paragraph then I had to do my conclusion and introduction after I started writing my speech and putting 3 techniques per paragraph writing techniques were Repetition,Exaggeration,Facts and Statistic,Groups of three,Rhetorical Question,Emotive language those are the writing techniques we had to put it in per paragraph then we move on to making our speech make sense after that we did that we had to practice our speech and test our  speech.

Our speech had to be 3 minutes at least.

When I got up and present my speech I was shaking and nervous when I present my speech that when I didn't have the pain I was scared and then went on and on and on my teacher think that was appropriate speech to do.

Hello, last week room 14 had art day.Art day was awesome because room 14 had to sketch any picture they want.
I chose to paint a princess a horse and a castle. I was sketching my picture it was really fun because I love to draw.After we have sketch we had to move on to water colours,water colours are water with colours they are so watery and just can dry easily.

I just came back from home and I saw you dead on the ground I just realise that you ate a poisonous apple I already told you to never ever talk or let strangers in our house how many times do I have to tell you,a million times luckily you ate the apple instead of making apple pie and making us fall asleep Why would you believe and listen to that old scary,CREEPY OLD LADY ARE YOU CRAZY have you ever learnt from your fairy god mother are you crazy if I was you I will say NO and I mean it NO! I am so grumpy with you snow white why would you listen to that old mean lady. OMG! snow white. SNOW WHITE I got some reason for you snow white.

 Hello everyone this was my letter to snow white I did this when it was May Road School book week. In room 14 have been reading  the snow white book truing reading the book we heard that snow white did some really bad things so we had to write a letter to snow white what did she do wrong.

What have I learn't about Maths

Through the term Room 14 have learning heaps about Maths. We started to learn about volume.

These are the boxes that Room 14 have calculate.We had to write down what is the smallest and what is the biggest so we had to write down smallest to biggest.

This is Poara,Hermione and Ivorn they learn heaps about maths they have calculate the volume of this adidas box.

This is Hermione and Nejwa they calculate the volume of this cuboid. Behind them are there problem that they solved. 

This Is the Volume when Room 14 calculate the boxes.The smallest was D and the biggest was E. When we calculate that was hard because we had see what is the Length what is the Height and what is the Width, then we had to times it all together to see what is the Volume. 

The other thing that I learnt about Volume is there are 3 dimension and they are Width,Length and Height

But when it is 2D the means there are 2 dimensions which are the Width and the Length.
So that what I learn't about Volume.

In maths the other thing that I learn't was my basic fact and study ladder and even Xtramaths.
On Xtramaths I had to learned and learned my basic fact when I finish my basic facts.On Xtramaths I got a certificate and this is the one.

I have been learning my place value and my subtraction on study ladder and study ladder looks like this.I have been learning heaps about place value and all sorts of maths tools because of this website study ladder.

I really like maths and this is my favourite subject.

SAMOAN LANGUAGE WEEK

Last Friday May Road School celebrate Samoan Language week.

Using Speech Recognition

On Tuesday 9th June, James came and shared how to use Speech recognition tools on a Google Doc. I used it to comment on Ivorn's blog.


It is a useful tool because you get to talk to your Chromebook like it is stupid.This is a good tool for your Chromebook.When you talk it's really hard when you have to think what to say. This is a really helpful tool.

Jump Rope for Heart

This week May Road School had Jump rope for heart we were so excited.We couldn't wait. This is Nejwa she was enjoying skipping.

This is Maxine she was another person who was excited to skip she teach us a new skill for skipping. 

First we had to spit in to 10 groups. We had to go around doing diffenet activ

This is Jess Fifita and Rueben skipping at the same time they really look good at skipping.

Here is Fardosa skipping, she is really good at skipping when she was skipping by herself she skipped for like 148. 

TENNIS

This term Room 14 been practising about how to hold a racket and how to control the ball.

We have been learning to control the ball and hitting it straight to your buddy.

Also we learned that this middle bit of the racket is called a sweet spot.

Another thing was we  learnt how to hit the ball over the net and also we had to hit the ball correctly to our buddy.

Now we learned how to hit the ball in the right direction at our buddy.My buddy was Ivorn she had to throw the ball at me and I had to call out sandwich.

Book Tracks

Today I read a book in a website called book track I read snow white what I like about Book Track is how when I was reading the story the song fits and suit the book the book that I read was awesome and great you should recommend it because this book is great to read when you are bored.
